Adult Learners' Week grants Adult Learners' Week (ALW) is an opportunity to celebrate, promote and advance all forms of adult learning. Organisations can apply for a funding grant of up to $5000 to develop a new or expand an existing adult learning activity.​
NT Equity Training Grants The NT Equity Training Grants program is an initiative of the NT government and has been developed to increase training and employment opportunities for disadvantaged Territorians.

Scholarships

Name​ ​Description
Bernie Kilgariff Memorial Scholarship The Bernie Kilgariff Memorial Scholarship is available to assist an Alice Springs school leaver to complete their tertiary studies in a medical / health related field. The scholarship provides a one-off payment of $3000 in the first year of study.​
Fulbright Northern Territory Scholarship A scholarship to undertake study or research in the United States is open to Australian citizens who are NT residents. It is open to people from all professional fields within any Fulbright Scholarship category. Research or study should focus on a topic relevant or beneficial to the Northern Territory. ​
Higher Education Scholarships for school leavers Scholarships are available to eligible Year 12 students to undertake full-time degree studies.​
Vocational Education & Training Scholarships Scholarships are available to Territorians studying Certificate IV to Advanced Diploma level courses.​
Earth Science / Mining / Petroleum Scholarship The Minister for Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources offers an annual scholarship for a young Territorian to undertake university study in the earth sciences, mining or petroleum related professional fields.​

Industry Buildskills Program The Industry Buildskills Program is a Northern Territory Government initiative under the Gearing Up the Workforce Employment Strategy to assist Territory employers to upskill or re-skill existing workers.​
Employer incentives - Australian Government Australian Apprenticeships attract financial assistance for eligible employers to help reduce the real cost of training.​
Employer incentive & assistance - Northern Territory Government Financial incentives are available for private sector businesses who want to employ additional apprentices and trainees in areas with identified occupational shortages, and from disadvantaged groups.​
General Recurrent Program General Recurrent Program funds the Northern Territory public providers of Vocational Education and Training, which are the Charles Darwin University and Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education.​
Indigenous Responsive Program Indigenous Responsive Program Funding specifically targets Indigenous people, for delivery of accredited and non-accredited training that links to work ready or employment on site in Indigenous communities. Indigenous communities can access funding at any time throughout the year. ​
International Women’s Day Study Grants Do you know a Territory woman wants to study a vocational education and training course that will assist them in returning to work after a period of absence? She may be eligible for a study grant!​
Northern Territory Training Entitlement​ Funding for registered training organisations to deliver training at Certificate III level and above under the training entitlement.​
Pre-employment Training Program The Pre-employment Training Program provides specific training for unskilled or semi skilled people to gain essential industry skills, which may lead to increased opportunities to successfully complete an apprenticeship or gain skilled employment.​
Training in regional & remote areas ​Four regional and eight remote training centre facilities are available to assist and support regional and remote communities in accessing vocational training programs.
User Choice Funding The User Choice program funds the delivery of structured training and assessment for full-time, part-time and school-based apprentices and trainees in the Northern Territory.​
VET in Schools This program is run by the Department of Education and Children's Services.​
Workwear / Workgear Bonus Scheme The Workwear / Workgear bonus is a one-off grant that apprentices or trainees are eligible for after three months of employment if they began their training contract on or after 4 April 2005.​
